Cuts & Shapes of Yellow Diamonds
Like near-colourless diamonds, yellow diamonds can be cut into almost any shape. Unfortunately, we have not yet had the chance to photograph all the different cuts and shapes, so we have shown different cuts using blue diamonds.
Round Brilliant
As with other diamonds, the modern round brilliant cut remains the most popular cut.

Oval
The oval is a modification of the round brilliant cut. We think it suits fancy coloured diamonds better than it does white ones.

Radiant Cut
The radiant cut is even better than a princess cut. It combines the square shape with the brilliance of a brilliant cut, but the corners are cut making an octagonal shape similar to an emerald cut, making it less susceptible to accidental damage.
The diamond we show here is not sufficiently intense for it to considered as a fancy colour, although it is very attractive.

Marquise or Navette Cut
The marquise cut is also an adaptation of the round brilliant cut, which we believe also looks better in fancy coloured diamonds than it does in plain vanilla.

Heart Shape
The heart shape is a modification of the round brilliant cut. We think it suits fancy coloured diamonds better than it does near-colourless ones.
|
| |
Pear Shape
The pear shape is similar to the heart shape in that it is also a modification of the round brilliant cut. We think it suits fancy coloured diamonds better than it does near-colourless ones.

Princess Cut
The princess cut is the most successful of the modern cuts developed for diamonds. It combines the square shape with the brilliance of a brilliant cut.
